Gary Piantedosi

Founder and Principal

Gary started his career in insurance consulting in 1989, choosing to specialize in employee benefit planning. As the founding partner of CBP, he has been instrumental in shaping the company's direction, ranging from corporate positioning and strategic alliances to technology initiatives and staffing. Currently, he oversees day-to-day operations and helps the company execute against its strategic vision.

Gary is a Certified Insurance Consultant (CIC), and has qualified for the American College's designations of Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) and Registered Employee Benefit Consultants (REBC). He has been recognized for outstanding sales achievement by General Electric, Anthem, Unum and New England Financial. He served as the Southwest Connecticut Chapter president of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers (NAIFA) in 1999 and 2000, and currently sits on the Connecticut Business Industry Association (CBIA) insurance advisory board and on United's advisory council. Additionally, Gary has published articles in CNBC, several industry trade journals and regional newspapers, including Fairfield County Business Journal, and the Stamford Advocate.

He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a BS in Business Administration.

Robert C. Houghton

President

Rob has been a seasoned insurance professional since 1990. As CBP President, he is responsible for the firm's forward-facing operations, including business development, partner relationships, oversight of the sales team, business acquisitions, new company business channels and managing key client relationships. He has significant expertise in developing customized programs and strategic initiatives that positively impact his clients' organizations. Rob has been connected to the local community service for many years on the board of the Stamford YMCA. Rob is a Registered Health Underwriter (RHU), a Registered Employee Benefit Consultant (REBC) and a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU).

He is a graduate of Providence College with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Christopher J. Peck

CEO

Chris has a passion for delivering a world-class client experience while driving efficiency and developing synergies among employees and vendors. He continually strives to understand what will make his clients and people successful, then, along with his partners, collaboratively develops the long-term strategic vision for CBP. A veteran of the healthcare services arena, Chris focuses on strategic planning, client relationships, creating value-based processes, driving revenue and extending the overall business model through strategic partnerships.

Chris is a sought after speaker for various business groups as well as a subject matter expert in the area of employee benefits for WCBS 880 AM radio. Chris has qualified for the American College's designations of Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) and Registered Employee Benefit Consultants (REBC). He has served on the Board of the Southern Connecticut Chapter of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as well as the board of the Southwestern Connecticut Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He is an active member of Vistage, SHRM and the CEO Roundtable.

He has also been awarded the 2012 Fairfield County '40 Under 40' award, for his extraordinary leadership qualities, ongoing commitment to personal and professional development, and outstanding accomplishments that have made an impact in his respective business sector.

He is a graduate of Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Howard Bergstein

President CBP Risk, LLC

Howard has been an insurance retailer for twenty-three years, with extensive experience in the areas of high-end Personal Lines, Directors' and Officers' Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Professional Liability, and insurance for the real estate and technology industries.

Howard’s family started the Bergstein Brokerage Corporation in the 1800’s, and Howard began his career in 1990 at Popkin, Lebson, Bergstein, Inc., becoming the fifth generation of his family to enter the insurance business. In 1997, he went to work for Erich Courant & Co., Inc., and in 2005, he acquired Erich Courant and runs it today. In 2012, along with Robert Houghton, Gary Piantedosi and Chris Peck, Howard formed CBP Risk, LLC. In 1992, Howard was awarded the CPIA (Certified Professional Insurance Agents) Young Producer of the Year Award. He has also been designated as a Chubb Cornerstone agent for the last eight consecutive years.

He is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Insurance.

Rosa Torcasio : HR Manager

Rosa Torcasio

SVP, HR & Operations

Rosa joined CBP in September 2005. As the HR Manager, she brings over 7 years of experience to the team with a focus on corporate growth, employee relations, benefits administration and policy and procedure development. She is an active member of the Southern CT Chapter of Society for Human Resource Management. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut with a BS in Human Services.
